Aspermont, Texas is a small rural community in Stonewall County located about 60 miles north of Abilene, Texas.  Aspermont is the county seat and is the the site of the only school in the county.  A rich history includes Spanish explorers searching for gold, buffalo hunters near Double Mountains, and expeditions along the Mackenzie Trail.
